17 April  2013 (Caymanian Compass) An independent assessment by the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes has concluded the practical implementation of international standards for transparency and tax information exchange has been “successful” in the Cayman Islands.

18 April  2013 (The Lawyer) Appleby has been named ‘Insolvency Law — Law Firm of the Year in Bermuda’, ‘Fraud Law — Law Firm of the Year in Bermuda’, ‘Corporate Law — Law Firm of the Year in the BVI’, ‘Trust & Estate Law — Law Firm of the Year in the Cayman Islands’ and ‘Corporate Finance — Law Firm of the Year in Hong Kong’ at the 2013 Corporate INTL Legal Awards.

2 April (The Cayman Islands Journal) On 15 March the Cayman Islands Government announced its intention to sign an agreement with the US authorities to adopt a Model 1 Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) in response to the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act. 

28th March 2013 (Cayman Finance press reelase)  Cayman Finance says that the recent legislative amendment to facilitate the marketing of Cayman funds in Europe is another step in the jurisdictions continued success in the hedge funds sector globally.
