16 May 2013 (Cayman 27) Once again Cayman’s financial industry has come under scrutiny. Reports in the UK suggest a dossier of more than 100 names of people with money here, and other tax free jurisdictions, has been compiled to find those who are avoiding paying tax.

14 May 2013 (Cayman 27) The head of Cayman Finance has rejected claims from economist Jeffrey Sach that some residents here sit on hundreds of hedge fund boards. In a series of letters to the Financial Times newspaper in the United Kingdom, Mr. Sachs says the banking system here has $1.4 trillion in liabilities and assets, and he described the system as a “house of cards” for global finance.

11 May 2013 (Forbes) The Cayman Islands are lovely. Located in the Caribbean between Cuba and Jamaica, this collection of tropical islands enjoys a wonderful climate, great sailing and diving, and is home to only about 50,000 people. More importantly, perhaps, registered companies in Cayman significantly outnumber its population.

01 May 2013 (Caymanian Compass) The concept for the creation of a unified voice of the Cayman Islands financial services industry was first born in 2003, when directors of the Cayman Islands Bankers Association, Eduardo D’Angelo P. Silva, Eric Crutchley, Ben Gillooly and Charles Farrington, first realised the need and formed the Cayman Islands Financial Services Association. Since then it has grown in stature to become an influential leader both locally and internationally.
